Plagiarsism Check
Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Team of JCSAI Journal acknowledges that plagiarism is unacceptable. Therefore, they have established a policy that outlines specific actions (penalties) if plagiarism is detected in articles submitted for publication in the JCSAI Journal.
Definition:
Plagiarism is an intentional or unintentional act to obtain recognition or credit for a scholarly work. This action involves quoting part or all of another person’s recognized scholarly work without properly and adequately citing the source.
Therefore:
- Articles must be original, unpublished, and not currently awaiting publication elsewhere.
- If material is orally sourced from another party, it is essential to clearly identify it to distinguish it from the original text.
If plagiarism is detected, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for examining the article and approving actions based on the identified level of plagiarism. The following guidelines are followed:
Plagiarism Level
- Adhering to good scholarly principles, authors who use short phrases from other articles without proper citation should be given a warning and asked to correct the text and citations appropriately. This action is crucial for maintaining academic integrity and respecting copyright and the work of others.
- Quoting substantial portions of other articles without accurate citation and failing to acknowledge the source is unacceptable. As a consequence, submitted articles will be rejected for publication in the JCSAI Journal, and authors may face sanctions for non-compliance with the journal’s publication policy.
- All article authors are responsible for the content they submit, as they all sign the JCSAI Journal’s Statement of Publication Ethics. If an article is found to contain plagiarism, all authors will face the same consequences.
- If an author is found to have submitted their manuscript to the JCSAI Journal while simultaneously submitting it to another journal, and this overlap is detected during the review process or after publication, action will be taken in accordance with the previously mentioned point 2.
- If plagiarism is detected beyond the specified conditions, the JCSAI Journal’s editorial team reserves the right to impose sanctions in line with the editorial policy.
